St. Stefanus

With a history dating back to 1295 AD, St Stefanus is an unpasteurised Belgian Blonde Abbey beer. St Stefanus has secondary refermentation, so continues to mature in the bottle, which means consumers can choose how they want their beer to taste. At 3 months the flavour is fresh and fruity, while at 18 months the flavour becomes deeper and more complex. St Stefanus is brewed using three different yeasts, including the Jerumanus yeast strain that was entrusted to the Van Steenberge family brewery by the monks of Sint Stefanus.
